That 0-6 game - the theatre of dreams turned out to be a nightmare on Elm Street.

Re: Your memories of Manchester United Away
got the club coaches for that 6-0, fun that :/

also did the 3-1 a couple of seasons ago when carlton actually scored a 1on1 like you might expect a striker to, and the 0-0 earlier this season,

my results have been getting gradually better :D

Re: Your memories of Manchester United Away
Both Di Canio and Tevez games. Also the 6-0 mind you.
Was also at a 3-1 loss on New Years Day which I think might have been a few weeks before the Di Canio game (?).

Also did both midweek games under Allardyce. Both 1-0 defeats league and cup replay and both times we conceded in the first minute.

I'm going on Sunday with a bloke who's never seen us score there and possibly one who's never seen us win away. I'm hoping he doesn't find a ticket.

0-6 was my only one

Only something like 34-35k in there. They were developing the main stand.

Same at Maine Road one year when they were knocking down the Kippax, mind you I bumped into a few regular faces in the main stand there.

Had to buy a bleeding Man City membership, still got it somewhere.

The Boogers game. Officially no West Ham in there. Certainly didn't see any others that night.

When we equalised my mate (a Red) who was on the other side of the ground said I was the only person who jumped up. Bloke next to him said "there's one of the twats!".

The League Cup game when Mark Ward had a goal disallowed from an indirect free kick despite Bailey getting a touch on it.

Those were the days when you didn't need to buy tickets weeks in advance so went up to the ticket office and asked for three seats in the West Ham end. After the bloke in the pretending to be deaf and having to ask about 4 times getting progressively louder we walked away with the tickets and found that they were above the Stretford End. Had to sell them on the streets to 3 Mancs and then go back and buy them for our end.

Have been three times:

1-7
1-0
0-6

So, on aggregate, not great.

Three visits, no losses, and not even a goal from the mancs. I hope I can keep my record up on sunday......

New Years Day 2001
Lost 1-3. 1200 of us made the trip up.

Had little idea I'd be back there three and a half weeks later for the cup game.

I didn't go to the game the following season but I did have a tenner on 1-0 Defoe at 110/1. Still remains my biggest return on a single bet.

Attended the 0-6 and haven't been there since... until Sunday.

Re: Your memories of Manchester United Away
Last time I was up there was 1988, and there was a load of us from our coach with seat tickets in with the mancs. When it came time to try and get in with the away fans after so we could all get back on our coach together, I had to show my tattoo to the old bill to get them to let us in.

For some strange reason, our London accents were not enough to convince them. These days they probably don't trust those with manc accents, as they are obviously City fans trying it on.

The 4-2 loss of course in was it '82. Kicking off everywhere that day. Pelted with coins and cig butts. Giving it back to them. I seem to remember we had our own Lasagngate as a lot of first team players came down with virus before.

But we gave it a go.
